Kamiros

(Approximately 4 hours)

For you who want to feel true greek history, this is the right place to visit!

Kamiros was one of the three ancient cities on the island of Rhodes, built on the slopes of a hill on the west coast of the island. You will be able to walk on ancient paths, enter some of the old houses to realize the structure of them, see the division of the city into the public area, the residential area and the sacred area at the top – the so called Acropolis.

At the top you will also get a glimpse of the astonishing view towards the mountainous inner part of Rhodes at the one side and the blue Aegean sea at the other. Kamiros archaeological site is located really close to some local tavernas offering refreshments and of course a good variety of greek dishes, everything served as close to the water as you can get!

*Medium walking capability is required
*Entrance fee 8 Euros, children under 18 years old free.
*This excursion requires vehicle.
*It can also be combined with the Butterfly valley or Filerimos.
